It's not about hate speech and this is not regard as hate crime offences whatsoever, first do fix ur understanding on hate speech then later u can relate better with ur main points.

No one is trying to be pious or as if they know everything, some rooms for development is a must, no? When non muslims bid selamat hari raya, it doesn't mean anything like blessings upon Allah or the meanings of preaching other religions, but Merry christmas is a celebration of Jesus Christ's birth to the world and it supposedly means blessings upon Jesus Christ. Muslims like you often get too defensive when it comes to trivial matters like aforementioned. But bear in mind if something is considered as syuhabah is present, then wishing Merry Christmas falls in this category. Syuhabah means if we are not precise on the matter, it is better to leave it aside. Don't jeopardize your religion by making comments that reflect your understanding in your own religion. Salam.

amirfx - mena padah dirik

anon - thanks...but did you ever consider that when we celebrate Maulidur Rasul the fb will fill with hate speech from other religion? i never experience it. Do check with the out national fatwa, they did discuss about candlelight vigil. I do appreciate your term of syuhabah i really do, but please consider this how do other religion what to respect us if we never give them respect? just plain simple i have non muslim friend they never say even a word about maulidur rasul but only respect. So why can't we?

If ur fb nonmuslim friends have never commented on any then u should also not apply the hate speech situation to others without further proof. It looks like u are against those people who know the truth and teach others.

On the maulidur rasul itself, on occasions when the christians make a drawing competition of rasullah pbuh, what did u do to phold ur religion? If there are nmbers of muslims who are like u, islam will never stay united to uphold the integrity of islam itself. Trying to please other religions and willing to jeopardize his own.

If your friends have never made any hostile comments on islam celebration whatsoever it is ok but u dont hve to tell others who hqve friends like these and trying to uphold their beliefs. That makes u unsupportive muslim.
